Here’s the final part of the amazing GI Joe: Resolute mini series:
GI Joe: Resolute has been one hell of a TV show, Warren Ellis managed to succeed where many have failed: he managed to update Joe for the 21st century, make a kick-ass action “movie,” and not piss all over my childhood memories of GI Joe. After seeing the whole series it looks to me like this mini-series will wipe the floor with the upcoming movie live-action GI Joe movie, and Resolute may well be the best re-interpretation of an 80’s TV show ever. I’m not alone in my praise, just check out some responses from warrenellis.com:
“this is the best JOE verse cartoon or story I’ve ever seen. It’s one of the best cartoons I’ve ever seen. I Loved the artwork and the writing… it wasn’t perfect but it was close. If only there was more time allotted I think it could have been flawless.”
“Hands down this was the best JOE animated anything. Definitely left me wanting more though…”
“The series was awesome. Not a Joe fan but that was great stuff. Well done indeed.”
“The series was so great! I loved everything about it.”
If you haven’t seen this yet I implore you to watch it asap, you won’t be disappointed. Parts 1-3 are here and parts 4-10 are here, or you can see all the “episodes” on Adult Swim’s website.
