There’s been an update to the Predators story from a few weeks back…
The guys over at Bloody Disgusting got the scoop on this one: According to their source, who is allegedly close to the production, Doomsday and The Descent director Neil Marshall is ready to sit in the directors chair on Predators for 20th Century Fox. Marshall is apparently currently in final negotiations to direct the movie, which is a prequel to the original, that features multiple Predators.
Alex Litvak has penned the script based on a treatment from Robert Rodriguez (who is producing the flick through Troublemaker Studios). The film is set in a world where both the Predators and other species live. The rest of the story remains a closely guarded secret.
The pairing of Rodriguez and Marshall has definitely peaked my interest in the new film, hopefully they’ll bring something new to the franchise and perhaps Predators will wipe the memory of the AVP movies from my mind…
