Well it didn’t take long. A week ago, when I first wrote about Red following the announcement that Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman were set to star in the new comic book movie, I said:

Reddoesn’t have a director on board yet – but with both Willis and Freeman attached I doubt that situation will last much longer.

Seems I was right.

Robert Schwentke, the director of The Time Traveler’s Wife, is in negotiations to head up Summit Entertainment’s latest comic book offering Red. The film is based on the 2003 DC/Wildstorm graphic novel of the same name by Warren Ellis, in which retired CIA operative Paul Moses is now living quietly following a career in ‘wet’ work. When the CIA appoint a new Director he learns about what Paul did back in the day, and decides he needs to be eliminated just to be sure that no one ever finds out what he did

Keeping up with all of your favorite movies, games, and comics can get real expensive. You could consider using a cash advance to help.
