The Toronto Star is reporting the the cast of Futurama, except for John Dimaggio and Billy West, have signed up for the news series of the show. The agreement between the voice cast and Fox sees the studio paying more and the actors accepting less. It’s good news for the fans – I doubt anyone could have imagined Futurama without the original voice cast and many would have refrained from watching Comedy Central’s new Futurama episodes altogether. Creators Matt Groening and David X. Cohen issued the following statement to the Star:
We are thrilled to have our incredible cast back. The call has already gone out to the animators to put the mouths back on the characters.
Here’s hoping John Dimaggio and Billy West eventually sign on the bottom line. It won’t be the same without them…

Still, without John Dimaggio and Billy West (the voices of the most popular characters), it won’t be Futurama to me. They’re probably angling for the highest raise, which they deserve. Hopefully they come back as well.
