Thought Bubble, the UK’s newest and greatest comic convention is taking place in November at Savilles Hall, near the Royal Armories in Leeds. As part of the build up to the comic con, Thought Bubble are hosting free sequential art workshops throughout the year. One such workshop - How to Draw Manga Creatures with Yishan Li – took place last month (which you can read more about on the official Thought Bubble blog), and now they have announced the latest workshop which is set to take place in October: Adi Granov’s Art Masterclass/Breaking into Comics.

Adi Granov was named (in August 2004) as one of Marvel Comics’ “Young Guns”, by Marvel editor-in-chief Joe Quesada. He teamed with comic book writer Warren Ellis for the highly regarded Iron Man: Extremis and has also worked on Marvel’s Iron Man films, contributing Iron Man designs and art concepts that influenced both movies. More recently he teamed up with Iron Man director Jon Favreau, drawing the mini series Iron Man: Viva Las Vegas.

The two hour masterclass is scheduled for Thursday 1st October at 6.30pm and takes place at one of Leeds’ premiere comic stores: Travelling Man, 32 Central Rd, Leeds, LS1 6DE. It’s sign up only and places are limited, so if you’re interested in attending call them on 0113 2436461

UPDATE: The date of the Adi Granov workshop has been moved to October 9th. Call Travelling Man on 0113 2436461 for more information.
