Last month I reported that the Darren Lynn Bousman directed remake of Mother’s Day had found it’s first cast member in True Blood’s Deborah Ann Woll, well now THR are reporting that Jaime King is set to join the cast. The original Mother’s Day centres on two brothers who terrorize three female campers in order to impress their sadist mother. In the remake they will be joined by a sister, played by Woll, as they return to the house where they grew up to terrorize the new owners and their guests.
Jaime King is apparently lined-up to star as one of the new home owners – a mother who has recently lost her child. Also in negotiations to star in the movie are Shawn Ashmore, Briana Evigan, and Alexa Vega; whilst Matt O’Leary is in talks to star as one of the psycho sons.
