7.00pm Burn Notice (FX)
Jeffrey Donovan stars as Michael Westen, an ex-covert operative who is “burned” by his intelligence agency handlers leaving him without a job, a history, money and identity. In this episode Michael poses as a thief to infiltrate a criminal gang who are terrorising a local Miami store owner.
8.00pm Freddy’s Nightmares (Zone Horror)
For the first time in years the tv spin-off of the Nightmare on Elm Street series is broadcast on UK television. Tonight’s episode “Mother’s Day” features two tales: In the first, Billy’s mother and monstrous new stepfather go on their honeymoon, leaving the teen in charge of their new home. But when he meets beautiful neighbor Barbara, she convinces him to host a killer party. Meanwhile, Barbara’s mother, a radio show psychiatrist, is harassed by a caller who claims he’s going to kill his landlord.
9.00pm Harper’s Island (BBC3)
It’s the UK premiere of the CBS series featuring a small group of family and friends gathering on a secluded island to attend a weeklong wedding celebration. But the island’s history as the location of a mass killing threatens the joyous event and sets the stage for a new mystery. Followed immediately by episode 2 and repeated at 11.05pm
9.50pm Warbirds (Sci-Fi)
This low budget Sci-Fi channel original movie takes place in the midst of World War 2. An OSS officer leads a group of female pilots on a mission to deliver a secret weapon, only to crash land on an island in the Pacific after an encounter with a deadly storm. On the island, they must not only contend with a small band of Japanese soldiers but the native inhabitants of the island as well – vicious prehistoric Pterodons!
10.40pm Delta Force 3: The Killing Game (Movies4Men 2)
A third sequel to the Chuck Norris original, this time the story concerns a terrorist who places an atom bomb somewhere in an American metropolis, leaving the President of the United States with no other choice – he has to call the Delta Force. Directed by Sam Firstenberg, who made the classic 80s movie American Ninja, and starring the sons of more famous fathers: Nick Cassavetes, Eric Douglas, and Mike Norris
12.20am 100 Feet (Sky Movies Premiere)
After Marnie Watson kills her abusive husband in self-defense, she is condemned to house arrest… only to discover that the house is possessed by the enraged and violent spirit of her dead husband. Famke Janssen stars in this movie from writer/director Eric Red, who was previously responsible for the horror classics The Hitcher and Near Dark.
