7.20pm Vacancy (Sky Movies Screen 2)
Nimrod Antal – director of the upcoming Predators – directs his first English language feature starring Kate Beckinsale and Luke Wilson, in which David and Amy Fox find themselves stranded in the middle of nowhere when their car breaks down. Luckily, they come across a motel with a TV to entertain them during their overnight stay. However, there’s something very strange and familiar about the Grade-Z slasher movies that the motel broadcasts for its guests’ enjoyment. They all appear to be filmed in the very same room they occupy! Realizing that they are trapped in their room with hidden cameras now aimed at them filming their every move, David and Amy desperately find a means of escape through locked doors, crawlspaces and underground tunnels before they too become the newest stars of the mystery filmmaker’s next cult classic!
8.00pm Transmorphers (Sky Movies Screen 1)
The Asylum’s Leigh Scott directs this low-budget ‘homage’ to Michael Bay’s Transformers in which a race of alien robots that have conquered Earth and forced humanity underground. After 400 years, a small group of humans develop a plan to defeat the mechanical invaders in the ultimate battle between man and machine.
9.00pm Smiley Face (Movies24)
Jane, played by Anna Faris, is an aspiring actress and complete pothead. Her day consists of ‘waking and baking’, eating chips, and sleeping. The morning of a big audition Jane finds her roommate’s batch of delicious cupcakes that he’s saving for this SciFi Party later on. Of course she eats all of them, only to realize they were also baked with pot. So, incredibly high Jane makes a list of things to do, including buy more pot to make her roommate more cupcakes, go to her acting audition, and paying the power bill in person before the company cuts off their electricity. At least that’s the plan… Stupid pothead comedy from director Gregg Araki.
10.00pm Warehouse 13 (Sci-Fi Channel)
This Sci-Fi original series is an X-Files-esque family friendly scifi drama that captures the spirit of The X-Files and Friday the 13th the series. After saving the life of an international diplomat in Washington D.C., a pair of U.S Secret Service agents are whisked away to a covert location in South Dakota that houses supernatural objects that the U.S. Government has collected over the centuries. Their new assignment: retrieve some of the missing objects and investigate reports of new ones. Season 1, episode 5. Repeated from Tuesday.
11.05pm Fearless Tiger (Movies4Men 2)
A man’s brother dies of an overdose from a new and potent drug introduced by a drug gang. He puts off his wedding to a beautiful model and postpones taking over the family business while he travels to Hong Kong to learn Tiger Claw kung fu from its master. Then he plans to take his revenge on the drug dealers responsible for his brother’s death. Kung Fu classic starring Jalal Merhi and Bolo Yeung.
11.50pm Assault of the Killer Bimbos (Movies4Men)
Two go-go dancers, Lulu and Peaches, are framed for the murder of their employer by the real killer, sleazy gangster Vinnie. Picking up waitress Darlene along the way, the three are involved in wild car chases with cops as they head south to cross the border into Mexico, where they unexpectedly encounter Vinnie in a fleabag Mexican motel.
