Sony’s Play TV has recieved an update to support high definition. Version 1.21 will support HD DVB-T broadcasts, allowing the device to play, pause and record high definition television through any PS3.

The update, which is available now across the UK and Europe, also includes improved standard definition upscaling – providing a clearer picture on HD sets.

In addition to the HD upgrade, those with the PS3 firmware 3.0 update can now use the Sony Aino mobile phone as a Play TV remote control.
