Directed by Dario Piana, and written by Evan Charnov, Lost Boys 3: The Thirst was recently announced as heading into production later this month.

The film sees Corey Feldman returning as Edgar Frog, this time teaming with the othe Frog brother Alan, meaning Jamison Newlander is also returning to the series – which was the original plan for the first sequel – in a story that sees:

…veteran vampire hunter Edgar Frog finds himself destitute and almost friendless, he thinks his live has hit bottom – but wealthy vampire-romance novelist Gwen Liebling offers him a small fortune to go on the vampire hunt of a lifetime and rescue her son Peter from the Alpha Vampire D.J.Dusk. With the help of his friends Zoe, Lars and Blake, Edgar heads into a bloody battle to exterminate evil.

One person who is missing from the cast is the other Lost Boys veteran, Corey Haim. The two Corey’s had a widely documented falling out a few years back, however the duo have recently reconciled and plans are now afoot for Haim to return to the franchise.

MovieWeb recently managed to catch up with Haim for a chat, where he confirmed that he will not be participating in Lost Boys 3: The Thirst due to his busy schedule, but he is in fact looking to come back for Part 4(!) According to Haim:

…Sam Emerson will play a huge part in the [Lost Boys 4] storyline. [But] there are certain stipulations in bringing [my] beloved character back to the small screen as [I] was personally unhappy with the direction the second film took. [I] will have some say over the character’s personal arc this fourth time around.

Haim also revealed that Warner Premier is planning on making one Lost Boys DTV sequel a year…
