Both Bloody Disgusting and Shock Till You Drop are reporting that both Mose Def and Bill Moseley are to join the voice cast of Night of the Living Dead: Origins 3D, the animated “prequel” to the George Romero original.

It is unconfirmed what roles the two will be playing, however rumour has it that Mos Def will be voicing Ben, while Moseley will be reprising his role as Johnny from Tom Savini’s 1990 Night Of The Living Dead remake. The pair will join the already cast Danielle Harris (Halloween),  Day Of The Dead’s Joe Pilato, who is voicing Harry Cooper with Alona Tal who is set to play Helen Cooper.

Zebediah De Soto, who wrote the Night of the Living Dead: Origins script with David R. Schwartz, wants to update the tale partially by bringing out the characters’ backstories and make what he called “an American-style anime.”
