alt_tv8.00pm Batman (Sky Movies Modern Greats)
Gotham City: dark, dangerous, ‘protected’ only by a mostly corrupt police department. Despite the best efforts of D.A. Harvey Dent and police commissioner Jim Gordon, the city becomes increasingly unsafe, until a Dark Knight arises. We all know criminals are a superstitious, cowardly lot, so his disguise must be able to strike terror into their hearts. He becomes a bat. Enter Vicky Vale, a prize-winning photo journalist who wants to uncover the secret of the mysterious “bat-man”. And enter Jack Napier, one-time enforcer for Boss Grissom, horribly disfigured after a firefight in a chemical factory…who, devoid of the last vestiges of sanity, seizes control of Gotham’s underworld as the psychotic, unpredictable Clown Prince of Crime… the Joker. Gotham’s only hope, it seems, lies in this dark, brooding vigilante. And just how does billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne fit into all of this?

Scully works as a staff physician at a Catholic hospital. Her focus these days is on a young boy with an incurable brain disease. Administration wants to give up on him. Scully, who feels a special bond with the boy, does not. Meanwhile, Mulder’s focus is on clipping newspaper articles about the paranormal and throwing pencils into his ceiling. Scully and Mulder are brought together again when a special case requires Mulder’s expertise, and Scully is prevailed upon to find him. The case involves a pedophile priest who claims he is having psychic visions regarding the whereabouts of a missing FBI agent.

11.25pm Dinner for Five (Film 24)
Actor/director Jon Favreau films dinner with four other celebrities in restaurants in New York and LA. Guests include movie stars, musicians, directors, comedians and sports stars.

12.00am Assassin’s Creed: Lineage (Film 24)
Mini-movie from the team behind ‘Sin City’. A 15th-century assassin fights for justice in the face of a conspiracy to destroy a unified Italy.

1.00am Midnight Movie (Zone Horror)
At a run down theater in a sleepy suburban town, a group of friends attend the midnight screening of a 1970s cult horror film. These unsuspecting teenagers are unaware that the director and star of the movie made a bloody escape from a psych ward five years earlier and may still be on the loose. As the midnight movie begins, the kids heckle the old black-and-white scenes. But they are jolted when the killer butchers one of their friends…on screen! They soon realize that the killing is not a prank. They are locked inside the theatre and the killer from the movie is after them! Caught between reality and the screen’s flickering shadows, are they becoming the unwilling stars of the very horror movie they are watching?
