8.00pm The Last Patrol (Movies4Men 2)
An earthquake measuring 9.5 on the Richter Scale splits California into an island with a perpetual dustcloud hanging over it. The survivors of the terrible ordeal have started to come together in the shape of Nick Preston (Dolph Lundgren) an air force captain, and have situated themselves in a warfare junkyard, holding weaponry from forgotten conflicts. They are searching for food, fuel and fellow survivors, and a possible path into the next world, while also dodging a violent plague that causes the skin to boil.
9.00pm The Lost Boys (TCM)
Unmissable classic ’80s movie starring Corey Haim, Corey Feldman and Keifer Sutherland. Financial troubles force a recent divorcee and her teenage sons Mike and Sam to settle down with her father in the California town of Santa Carla. At first, Sam laughs off rumours he hears about vampires who inhabit the small town. But after Mike meets a beautiful girl at the local amusement park, he begins to exhibit the classic signs of vampirism. Fearing for his own safety, Sam recruits two young vampire hunters to save his brother by finding and destroying the head vampire.
10.00pm The Glimmer Man (Sky Movies Action & Thriller)
Steven Seagal plays Jack Cole, a soft spoken mystical new age New York cop with a checkered past. He is transferred to Los Angeles to help Los Angeles cop Jim Campbell solve a series of brutal murders in which the victims are crucified. The murders that have happened since Jack arrived in Los Angeles just don’t sit right with him. When the killer, known as the “Family Man”, kills Ellen DunLeavy, who happens to be Jack’s ex wife and the mother of his two kids, and Ellen’s husband Andrew DunLeavy, it becomes personal – especially when Jack’s prints are found on Ellen’s body. Jack meets with his military mentor Smith, not knowing that Smith is in cahoots with local crime boss Frank Deverell.
11.25pm Big Stan (Sky Movies Comedy)
Little-seen (is that a good thing?) comedy starring Rob Schneider and David Carradine. Real state agent Stan is arrested for fraud and sentenced to three years in prison, his assets are frozen by the justice. However, his crooked lawyer Lew Popper negotiates a six month freedom, and the weak Stan, who is afraid of being raped in prison, hires the specialist in martial arts The Master to teach him self-defense. Six months later, Big Stan is sent to the Oaksburgh State Penitentiary totally confident in his expertise in martial arts. He challenges the violent leaders of the gangs and defeats them, being respected by the inmates and bringing peace in the patio. However, the dirty Warden Gasque has the intention of transforming the penitentiary in a luxury resort, and uses Big Stan’s knowledge to improve his project, promising to release him sooner using the corrupt penal system.
11.40pm Wrong Turn 2: Dead End (Sky Movies SciFi & Horror)
Retired military commander Colonel Dale Murphy hosts the simulated post-apocalyptic reality show where participants are challenged to survive a remote West Virginia wasteland. But the show turns into a nightmarish showdown when each realizes they are being hunted by an inbred family of cannibals determined to make them all dinner!
1.00am Little Devils: The Birth (Film24)
The Little Devils are mini-masters of mayhem, created by an evil scientist. Dr. Lionel discovers an ancient mudpot from Hell, returning home with samples of it. Unfortunately, he has been possessed, and begins to sculpt Gargoyles, later giving them life. Of course, they then go about killing people and wreaking havoc. Stars Marc Price (Trick or Treat), Russ Tamblyn (Tom Thumb) and Nancy Valen (Baywatch).
