Jerry O’Connell is set to co-star alongside David Tennant in NBC’s pilot Rex Is Not Your Lawyer, replacing Heroes actor Sendhil Ramamurthy. Ramamurthy, for whom the casting was in second position to Heroes, withdrew because of “scheduling issues” – giving more credence to the rumour that Heroes is set to return to NBC for a fifth and final season.
Rex Is Not Your Lawyer stars David Tennant (Doctor Who) as Rex Alexander, a top Chicago litigator who begins suffering panic attacks and takes up coaching clients to represent themselves in court.
Also recently cast in the pilot are Lindsay Kraft and Cleo King. Kraft (Epic Movie) plays a former waitress singer-songwriter working as Rex’s assistant; whilst King (The Hangover) plays a no-nonsense private-school bus driver coached by Rex in her wrongful-termination case.
