A little later than usual, but here nonetheless (unlike yesterday – sorry folks!) here’s what’s on UK television tonight, alternative-style:
9.00pm Nautilus (Movies4Men +1)
Over one hundred years ago, a cataclysmic chain of events plummeted the earth into the dark ages which destroyed most of civilization, and the remaining few survivors attempt to change change the course of time by ridding the seas of all weapons of war regardless of their origin.
10.00pm The Blade Squad (CBS Action)
The Blade Squad is an experimental police chaser unit that consists of mainly cops who have screwed up and are practically off the force, who patrol the city on roller blades and have jet packs that give them speed. Presently, the department is trying to decide if whether or not they are worth keeping on. They are going after street punk who pulls flawless robberies. And what they don’t know is that the man’s brother was arrested by them and tried to run away and was killed in the process, he blames and is planning to go after them.
10.55pm Razortooth (Zone Horror)
Four college students travel deep into the Florida Everglades to earn some extra credit for their biology class. Little do they know, the reason they’re there is not to research eels; their professor has created a genetically modified super-eel, and they must capture it, or kill it. Meanwhile, Dr. Soren’s old friend, Delmar, is also on the trail of the eel, while Delmar’s ex, the sheriff, is chasing after two escaped convicts. When all of these groups converge, the results are exciting… and deadly!
11.45pm Metro (Sky Movies Action & Thriller)
Scott Roper is a wisecracking hostage negotiator. When his friend and fellow police officer is assassinated by a dangerous jewel thief, he is prepared to do just about anything to bring the killer to justice. 12.50am Cemetary Gates (Zone Horror)
When two ecologists break-in the laboratory of Dr. Belmont, they find a box with a subject and they decide to set the experiment free in the woods. During the transportation, the box opens and releases the mutant Tasmanian Devil that devours the two activists and escapes to the woods. Meanwhile, Dr. Belmont’s son Hunter travels in a van with four friends to film a horror movie in the cemetery in the woods, while Belmont and his associate Dr. Christine Kollar seek their deadly experiment called Precious. Stars Reggie Bannister (Phantasm).
