According to a recent report on Kotaku, Sony is considering introducing subscription charges for it’s PlayStation Network – similar to those currently levied on Xbox360 users.

The site has published images of a survey from market research firm IPSOS outlining a potential premium subscription to the online service. However, current services such as online multiplayer gaming will remain free should price plans be introduced.

Sony is considering offering a premium PlayStation Network subscription in the future. The subscription offering would provide new premium features you could choose to pay for and are in addition to the features currently available for free such as access to online multiplayer gaming (current features would remain free).

Several payment plans were mentioned from as much as $69.99/yr $9.99/mth, to $29.99/yr and $4.99/mth. New features for subscribers are rumoured to include online music services, cloud storage and cross-game chat. Sony has not yet made any official announcement regarding charges.

Keeping up with all of your favorite movies, games, and comics can get real expensive. You could consider using a cash advance to help.
