Marvel have announced that they are set to cancel all their currently running Avengers titles following the conclusion of the just-begun mega-event Siege. Whilst many of the major crossover events in Marvels history - Avengers Disassembled, Civil War, Secret Invasion have had a lasting effect on the companies line of comics, Siege is set to blow them all out of the water with the cancellation of some of Marvels biggest selling comic books.
New Avengers, Dark Avengers, Mighty Avengers and Avengers: The Initiative are all set to end in a few months time, but it is not known what Marvel have in store for its avenging heroes following the shock announcement other than the entire Marvel universe is set for a new “lighter” direction that Marvel have termed “The Ages of Heroes”.
