Edgar Wright’s highly anticipated film adaptation of Brian Lee O’Mally’s graphic novel, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, has just been given it’s official US release date. Universal Pictures’ have released their 2010 movie line-up, where it was revealed that the film will be released in the summer in the States directly against Sylvester Stallone’s eagerly awaited The Expendables on August 13th 2010.
Whilst other sites are merely reporting this news, Blogomatic3000 can exclusively reveal (thanks to some thorough investigation) that it looks likely that Scott Pilgrim vs. The World will, like that other big comic movie of 2010 – Kick-Ass, be released in the UK before the US.
According to the UK FDA (Film Distributors Association), the comic book adaptation is set to bow in the UK a week before the US debut on August 6th 2010..!
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World stars Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Brandon Routh, Alison Pill, and Jason Schwartzman.
