The Losers scribe Andy Diggle has pointed Losers fans in the direction of a video from Entertainment Tonight that gives a sneak peek at the film’s official trailer featuring the cast of Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Zoe Saldana, Idris Elba, Chris Evans, Columbus Short, and Óscar Jaenada, which ET is set to debut tonight in the US:
From the brief snippet it looks like The Losers is most definitely on to a winner – and, like Andy Diggle points out, unlike a lot of comic book movies the film still uses the logo from the comics! In fact Diggle seems impressed at what he’s seen:
Even this brief glimpse shows how faithfully they’ve used lines and story beats from the comic — “If you want your life back, you’re gonna have to steal it,” Jensen shooting the guy with his finger, Aisha with the rocket launcher, “Outstanding!”
The Losers, directed by Sylvain White, and based on the comic of the same name, is released in the UK by Optimum on April 16th 2010.
