The SFX Awards 2010 have just taken place at the SFX Weekender in Camber Sands. The awards are some of the UK’s most prestigous genre awards, with the majority of them voted on by SFX Magazine readers – awards like that are always more worthwhile aren’t they?

So the plan was to live-blog the event, but thanks to a mix of technology fail and the poor wifi connection – can you imagine thousands of attendees all twittering and bloging at the same time? Only three awards in and it all went kaput. Anyway, here’s the full list of winners:

Best Novel: The Graveyard Book – Neil Gaiman
Best SciFi Actor: David Tennant
Best SciFi Actress: Eve Myles
Best SciFi Phenomenon: True Blood
Best Comic: Batman: Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader?
Best Videogame: Batman: Arkham Asylum
Best Collectable, Model, Toy or Game: The Journal of Impossible Things
SFX Hope for the Future: Stephen Moffat
Best TV Show: Supernatural
Best TV Episode: Torchwood: Children of Earth – episode 5
SFX Cult Hero: Gareth David Lloyd
Best Film Director: J.J. Abrams
Best Film: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
SFX Breakout of the Year: Being Human
SFX Lifetime Contribution Award: Gerry Anderson
