Panelfly has announced that it is set to debut an iPad-optimised version of its digital comic book reader which will hit the App store the same day the iPad hits stores. The iPad version of Panelfly’s comic app is will feature a new library and a larger comics store:

With a new library, new store and a new reading experience – [We] look to raise the bar on digital comics and provide users with the functionality and platform needs they’ve been waiting for. Whether you’re on an iPhone, iPod Touch or an iPad, you will be able to enjoy comics whenever, wherever you desire.

Panelfly’s iPhone comic app is available to download now and the iPad iteration will be released in March to coincide with said device’s launch.

Competitor comiXology is also said to be working on an iPad application.
