Actor Michael Chiklis is best known for his roles as the bad cop Vic Mackey in TV’s The Shield, and his iconic role as The Thing in the big-screen adventure of the Fantastic Four.

Now Chiklis is combining the two in a new TV pilot for a prospective series, which will see the actor play yet another superhero – this time a superdad in a superhero family in a new drama for ABC called No Ordinary Family which Chiklis is also executive producing.

According to SciFi Wire, the series is in the same vein as Pixar’s The Incredibles and comes from solid stock - No Ordinary Family has been written by the team of Greg Berlanti (Eli Stone) and Jon Feldman (Tru Calling), who previously worked together on the well-regarded series Dirty Sexy Money.

If picked up for a series, No Ordinary Family would see Chiklis returning to the network that made his name – ABC. The actor previously starred in The Commish and Daddio for ABC in the 1990s.

Keeping up with all of your favorite movies, games, and comics can get real expensive. You could consider using a cash advance to help.
