‘Zombieland’ scribes talk sequel

ZOMBIELAND

Zombieland, from writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese became an unexpected hit upon release, racking up over $25 million in US box-office on a meagre budget.

That kind of box-office success more often than not leads to talk of a sequel, and Zombieland is no different. Wernick and Reese recently sat down with MTV to talk all things Zombieland 2, confirming that the sequel will be shot in 3D. Says Reese:

There absolutely will be a sequel, and it will absolutely be in 3-D. Now, it’s just a question of what that sequel will be. It’s not a question of having enough ideas, but almost having too many ideas. We have a lot of ideas… We want you to be looking down at your popcorn to make sure there isn’t blood on it. There will be a lot of fluids flying!

As for what we can expect in the sequel, Reese said he hopes to give Woody Harrelson’s character a girlfriend who can keep up with his wild zombie-killing ways, and that they have big plans for Abigail Breslin’s character. Check out the full interview in the video below:

Zombieland
is out now on DVD and Blu-ray in the US and is released March 15th in the UK.

Keeping up with all of your favorite movies, games, and comics can get real expensive. You could consider using a cash advance to help.
