Brandon Routh joining ‘The Walking Dead’?

Posted on April 11, 2010 in: TV

Bloody Disgusting are exclusively reporting that Brandon Routh, last seen on TV in fan-favourite Chuck, is joining the cast of AMC’s The Walking Dead.

Frank Darabont is writing, directing and producing the series, which is based on the Robert Kirkman comic of the same name and stars the already announced Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes, a small-town cop who leads a group of survivors in their struggle against a world besieged by zombies, and Jon Bernthal as his buddy Shane.

AMC have already picked up the series for 6 episodes, without seeing the pilot – which is scheduled to begin shooting on May 15th in Atlanta, GA.

I think Bloody-Disgusting have got it wrong. While I love the casting, Brandon Routh is signed on to the TBS comedy pilot In Security. So either that project is dead in the water, which it shouldn’t be since the pilot is being filmed now.

I’d love to see Brandon in Walking Dead, I just don’t think B-D has been doing enough fact checking.

Although, Brandon could only be guesting on this project but, at this stage, I doubt he is.
