The Girl Who Played With Fire is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by the late Swedish author and journalist Stieg Larsson. The book and subsequent film are the second part of Larsson’s Millennium Trilogy.

Having returned, she falls under suspicion for having committed the murder of a journalist and his girlfriend. Now Mikael Blomkvist has to do what he can to reach her before the authorities do.
The film, which follows hot on the heels of the highly acclaimed The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, is directed by Daniel Alfredson, and once again stars Michael Nyqvist as Mikael Blomkvist and Noomi Rapace as Lisbeth Salander.
The Girl Who Played With Fire will be released in the UK by Momentum Pictures on August 27th 2010 and is set to be released in the United States towards the end of the year.
