Burke & Hare is based on the true story of two 19th century graverobbers who find a lucrative business providing cadavers for an Edinburgh medical school.
The film is the latest project from director John Landis (American Werewolf in London, The Blues Brothers) and stars Simon Pegg (Hot Fuzz) as William Burke and Andy Serkis (Lord of the Rings) as William Hare, with a supporting cast that includes Isla Fisher (Confessions of a Shopaholic) as Ginny, an ambitious young actress and Burke’s love interest, and Jessica Hynes (Spaced) as Hare’s haggard and suffering wife, Lucky.
