‘Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon’ – Teaser Poster

The guys at Joblo got their hands on the first official teaser poster for Transformers 3: The Dark of the Moon (yes, it’s still a crap title) which looks remarkably meh:

The Autobots Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide and Sideswipe led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009’s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime “Transformers” character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.

Transformers: The Dark Of The Moon will be released on July 1st 2011.

    • This film sounds stupid. For a start, how can Shockwave “rule” Cybertron? I’m pretty sure they said in the first film that Cybertron was destroyed? Wasn’t that the whole reason the transformers made their way to Earth? Oh and I’m glad to see Sideswipe returning… Who was in the second film for about three seconds. I had to watch it a second time just to notice him!

Looking forward to this film as it will most certainly mark the end of Michael Bay’s Transformers movies. Then the licence can go to someone that is more interested in storytelling than he is in teenage girls (hopefully)!
I may have to wait five or six or even more years for a decent transformers film, but damn, anything is better than Bay’s shocking effort.
