The first image of Daniel Day-Lewis since donning his presidential look for Steven Spielberg’s upcoming Abraham Lincoln biopic, Lincoln, has emerged. Day-Lewis was spotted at a restaurant in Richmond, Virginia, where the film is being shot looking nearly identical to the 16th US President. Known to be an extremely committed method actor, word is that Day-Lewis has not broken his Lincoln accent since March.
Lincoln began filming in October and is scheduled for a fourth quarter 2012 release, just in time for Oscar season.
